Very scenic, peaceful and calm. Service staff approachable and very literate - communication was a breeze. Excellent spa. Honeymoon suite was outstanding - loved it! Food was more than adequate with wide variety daily and very delicious.
Two joint single beds in the beach villa. Inconvenience of overbooking issues. However, adequately compensated for this. Some staff showed preferential treatment towards other guests.
The honeymoon villa was nice.
The staff doesn't make you feel as welcomed as other resorts. It's overpriced in relation to it's services and facilities. I wouldn't really recommend you spending your money there. If you're going to spend your money for a holiday go somewhere else because this resort is just an "average" nice.
The water villas are brilliant and the view from them is breathtaking. It was quite and calm and for a couple on their honeymoon, we couldn't ask for more. Water is clean and every effort is made for the cleanliness. The food was good and the Mrs. Loved the breakfast! If you're going half board, you can pack some snacks and you may not need to have full board (I.E. lunch). However, you will need some water as it is hot and you only get one litre complimentary water bottle every day and if you need more, the price of that bottle is $3.5 or higher in restaurants.
We went booked the sunset fishing a day in advance. The next afternoon around 1pm the weather turned suddenly and it started raining. Our boat was to leave at 4.30pm. Although it stopped raining around 3pm, there was still cloud around and there was drizzle from time to time. So we called the reception to inquire whether there was going to be a trip today as the weather had not completely gone. The reception said the trip would go ahead. For fishing, they take you out of the safe waters of lagoon to deep sea for fishing. Even on our way the sea was slightly rough and we had a pretty bumpy ride. In the meanwhile rain started again and the Mrs felt that it wasn't the best idea to carry on and we should head home, but I thought it’ll get better as the hotel staff carry out these activities everyday and it they felt any danger they would turn around. However, I could see high waves lashing the other islands on our way and felt that it didn’t look very normal. In half an hour or so we reached the place where we anchored and fished and it continued to rain. Mrs and I did not catch any fish either, which wasn’t ideal and also she didn’t feel comfortable as the night was about to fall. We left after one hour of fishing (not really for us) and the sun was probably set (we didn’t know because of the cloud cover) and it was getting really dark when we left. During our way back the we noted that the sea got worse and the our ride was worse going back. The worst was yet to come though as it got worse and the boat was now doing and up and down like a roller coaster and we went up as much (I reckon) 5 meter up and about the same depth down. Coupled with that was the fact that it was almost night time it was your worst nightmare! We kept asking for life jackets as Mrs and I aren’t the best swimmers (I know!). But the thought that the crew had it covered was vanished completely when after saying ‘no need’ a few times they decided to provide us with life jackets!
We really loved the amazing location & the beautiful scenery around...the beach is lovely, and the water is clean as unreal. Water Villa experience was like a dream come true and as a honeymoon couple we couldn't have asked for more. To our surprise, food was simply outstanding and there were plenty of options to choose from. The staff was very helpful and supporting in the entire resort. Thanks! Happily Married Couple Jatin & Neha Room # 131 :)
Only backdrop we found was lack of information at the time of booking from Booked.net about the sea plane transfer. We were not told about the charges or if its extra anywhere in our booking confirmation neither from Booked.net nor from the resort. So it resulted in some confusions and spoilers once we landed at Medhufushi. But in the end, we were glad that the management really helped us. Again, really really loved the staff and the resort itself. Just the process of booking through Booked.net has to be more transparent with all the important details listed in the contract.
The atoll / island ambiance.
The rapport quality / price is not good. Seems apparently that it is the case of all maldives Islands.
Awsome location , Very friendly staff , Great restuarants
All is great unless the prices are a but expensive .( water prices)
water villa is great and very friendly staff. staff doing everything for preparing transportation and there is staff at airport too to help me.
Lovely place! For sure I can recommend it. Good food, perfect diving, great accomodation (water villas are the best).
Absolutely fabulous - our first time to the Maldives and exceeded our expectations.
An expensive seaplane ride of 45 minutes. No house reef on the island, however 6 days a week the resort offers a free boat trip to a reef for snorkelling, which was great.
It was a great holiday! Location, food, staff - everything was very good! We went snorkling every other day (free boat trips from the hotel), have seen dolfins, rented katamaran twice and went windsurfing (there is a possibility to rent equipment, but choice is not that good - good for beginners, but not for professionals, and wind is not very strong - nice for training). We took halfboard, there is a possibility to have lunch in the main restaurant for 30USD (plus 16% tax) or to have some meal in a bar (salad = 10 USD, sandwich with french fries = 8-12 USD). Service was very nice!
Location, Water Villa, Spa, Bar...
Great hospitality and amazing sea activities . Very clean beach and excellent privacy.
Nice rooms, friendly staff, good food. Good experience with diving and sunset fishing - a lot of emotions for all our family
Absence of home rife, not so sutable for swimming and snorkeling but there are regular boat trip free of charge that provided by resort
Location of the hotel is good
I was most dissapointed with the food, the quality and variety was poor
1. Geographically located at a very beautiful place. 2. Food spread is huge. But taste is not upto the mark, specially for the Indian food lovers 3. If you choose Medhufushi, never opt for beach villas, go for Water villas.
1. Though staff seems friendly, they are cut and right 2. Water is the most expensive thing in Medhufushi
